There have been plenty of reports already of big changes coming to the iPhone 16 series, and a new leak details one of the most important of all: the battery. A A second report posits exactly how the changes could be realized while a third explains some of the contrasting battery capacities we’ve been seeing in separate leaks. One report says that one member of the new brace of phones will benefit more than the others: the iPhone 16 Pro.
The second fastens on how Apple could achieve the new capacities in physical terms—after all, although it’s believed that the displays and dimensions on the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be greater than on the current Pro models, the predicted battery increases, especially on the smaller Pro model, are considerable.
“This improvement could possibly be linked to stacked battery technology — something originally rumored for, but ultimately AWOL, on the iPhone 15 Pro series,” according to the latest news from Tom’s Guide.
